Jack Bagwell, president of North Carolina's College of the Albemarle, has been on the job for less than a year, but he's already made a name for himself.
Bagwell was named the 2018 President of the Year by the National Association of Community College Presidents, the Charlotte Observer reports.
The honor is given to community college presidents who have shown "a demonstrated ability to inspire their colleagues, students, and the community at large," according to a press release.
Bagwell was chosen for the honor based on his "demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate colleagues, students, and the community at large," the release states.
He was also named the 2017 President of the Year by the North Carolina Association of Community College President's.
